Dear Friends,
Faith In America wishes to honor all our wonderful fathers this Father’s Day weekend and their families. During the previous three years working with Faith In America, I have met so many wonderful fathers within the GLBT community. They certainly deserve our recognition this weekend for all the love, support and understanding they instill in their families. It is a fact that there are many sons and daughters who today derive happiness, security and well-being from homes led by gay fathers and mothers.
We know there are a host of fathers out there who will be remembered this weekend for all the wonderful lessons and all the special times that fill our thoughts as we think about that special person we call Father, Dad, Pop or Papa. So many in the GLBT community can attest to what a difference their fathers made in their lives.
Today, we especially honor all those fathers who are raising children. These fathers know all the joys and sometimes heartache of parenting. Their love, devotion, time and commitment to their families is exemplary.
We encourage everyone to honor their father in some fashion this weekend - one small way is to leave a comment at the end of this post, describing the influence your father had on your life.
One such family is Bob Page and Dale Frederiksen and their sons Owen and Ryan.
Happy Father’s Day Bob, Dale, Owen and Ryan and we wish the same to all our wonderful dads.

Proud fathers Bob Page and Dale Frederiksen are pleased to celebrate Father’s Day with their twin sons, Owen and Ryan Page, 8. The boys attend New Garden Friends School in Greensboro, N.C., while Bob is the Founder and C.E.O. of Replacements, Ltd. (the world’s largest retailer of china, crystal, silver, and collectibles) and his partner, Dale, is Senior Vice President of Product Services, in nearby McLeansville, N.C.

Family time includes swimming in the pool, spending Sundays with their extended family in Ruffin, N.C., after attending church, watching Star Trek, dining out and enjoying cookouts, and weekends shopping at the flea market. While their Dads work, the boys spend their free time drawing, playing Nintendo and Wii, reading, playing violin, and practicing Tae Kwan Do. Pictured are Dale, Bob, Owen and Ryan along with a few pieces of the boys’ handiwork.
